Consultant Orthopaedic Oncosurgeon, is one of the very few Orthopaedic surgeons in India who has received formal training and has specialised in bone and soft tissue tumors and bone cancers(sarcomas).
He practises Orthopaedic Oncosurgery exclusively. He is currently appointed to the prestigious Indian Orthopedic Association's three member committee in Orthopedic Oncology.
He has been trained in a fellowship for nearly three years at Mumbai, Italy and the United Kingdom.
He has numerous publications in various prestigious international journals including CORR (Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research) and Sarcoma. He has presented the results of a unique surgery- Extra Corporeal Radiation Therapy for pelvic tumors at the European Musculoskeletal Oncology Society Meeting at Florence, Italy.
He is a part of several National and International Orthopedic Oncology Associations.
He has been invited as a guest faculty all over India and has organised the Oncology session at the Orthopedic Association Of South Indian States Conference.
He has a special interest in the molecular research of sarcomas and customised devices for reconstruction of massive bone defects apart from Extra Corporeal radiation therapy for reconstruction.
